NEPHU Strategic Plan 2024-2028

Publication
August 4, 2024
NEPHU has established a comprehensive strategic plan to guide its efforts in enhancing public health and well-being across the catchment.

The NEPHU Strategic Plan outlines NEPHU’s vision for a healthier and more equitable community, where all individuals have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

It is designed to address the unique health challenges faced by the diverse populations within the region, with a strong focus on equity, collaboration, and innovation.

The strategic plan is built around five key strategic objectives that form the foundation of NEPHU’s work:

  • Promote health and minimise disease, illness and injury
  • Understand and communicate population health needs
  • Foster an informed, engaged and empowered community
  • Foster collaboration and agility across the public health system to enhance impact and outcomes
  • Identify and address systemic barriers

The strategy outlines NEPHU’s approach and expected achievements for each of the five objectives.

This plan serves as a roadmap, outlining the goals, priorities, and the steps NEPHU will take to achieve the set-out vision and purpose. It provides a clear vision of the future and sets the direction for decision-making, resource allocation, and day-to-day operations. This can help communicate the organisation’s direction to stakeholders, including employees, partners, and the community.
