Japanese encephalitis

Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a rare but potentially serious infection that spreads through mosquito bites. The eligibility for free vaccination against JE has been expanded until July 31, 2026. Anyone planning to visit any of the 24 high-risk local government areas or lives locally is eligible. A Medicare card is not required.
