As part of our commitment to the theme – Children have the right to a clean and safe environment – we’re excited to share a series of council run events focused on healthy eating in the NEPHU catchment.
This initiative sits within the NEPHU Population Health Catchment Plan, as part of the ‘Increasing Health Eating’ priority area.
What’s happening?
Throughout Children’s Week, most councils will be putting on several food education and food-based events. These activities will not only teach kids about nutritious foods but also encourage them to take part in creating a clean and safe environment.

Most of these events are free and accessible to everyone but you may need to register beforehand. We encourage families to go together, learn, and celebrate the importance of a clean environment and healthy choices.
